The Empire Strikes Back in Overtime Thriller

In a match-up that has been brewing for sometimes now, was a nail bitter all the way to the buzzer went off.  This epic battle came down to an overtime last second shot, by Sophomore Jadarious McCants, that took the “Thunder” right out the ThunderDome which is what the Park Crossing Thunderbirds call their home-court.

The Vols put up an valiant effort but came up short against the Northview Cougars, 73-62.  They Vols were lead in scoring by Sophomore John Williams who had 20 points and Senior Jalen Green added 9 points. The Vols lost their season opener to the BrewTech Rams 61-33.  The Vols were led in scoring by John Williams’ with 7 points and Clifford Thomas contributed 6 points. The Vols will be back in action this Friday at The Empire against the Northview Cougars at 5pm.
