Jaquan Williams, many know him as ‘Athlete‘, took over the reigns as the starting QB at Jeff Davis this season as well as handle the punting duties on special teams. Coming into the season there were many doubters, according to most of the sportswriters around town, that he would be able to command the fast paced Coach Lee Carter’s offense. Even though the season ended last week, Williams led the Vols to the playoffs for the second consecutive season while supplanting himself into the Vols record books as the single season passing leader. Williams threw for a record 2,045 yards in the regular season. Williams stated, “I was excited because I’m going down in history for real be we all know it ends and all you have is memories but that’s a great memory to have”. He finished his Senior season with 2,304 passing yards, 19 passing TDs, 381 rushing yards, and 7 rushing TDs.
