Multiple Teams · Boys JV wins a close one at the end

The JV Volunteers were back in action today against the Northview Cougars.  The game went back and forth in the second half with 4 lead changes happening in the last 2:15 of the 4th quarter.  The game was tied at 30-30 with 5.4 seconds left in the game until Sylvester Williams came up with a huge steal.  He drove the ball down the court where he was fouled with 0.6 seconds left on the clock.  Hit went one of two from the line as the Vols to take a 31-30 lead.

The Vols defeated the Cougars 34-30, moving them to 2-0 on the season.  They were lead in scoring by Cornelius Wright who had 6 points with Kendon Knight and Sylvester Williams contributing 5 points each.   The JV Boys will be back in action this Tuesday Night against the Opelika Bulldogs at The Empire.
